Dalam beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini, kekerapan berubah-ubah pemampat udara telah memainkan peranan penting dalam pasaran pemampat udara kerana sifat penjimatan tenaga yang baik. Walaupun begitu, ramai pengguna masih tidak mengetahui perbezaan antara pemampat udara frekuensi berubah dan pemampat udara frekuensi kuasa.
